Robin as been a passionate conservation ecologist since 2002 and has a wide range of ecological knowledge, especially in the Outer Hebrides where he is based. He is a member of various advisory panels and is regarded as a foremost expert in raptor research and conservation in Scotland.

Richard is a commercial, financial leader with over 25 years of experience in several blue chip companies and serves as the Financial Director. His extensive background in finance and leading multi-national operations positions him to ensure that Redwing operates with a strong financial foundation for growth

Paul is a highly skilled and knowledgeable ecologist, having many years experience carrying out a broad range of surveys for different species groups across a variety of habitats around the UK

Blair Johnston

Ecologist

Blair is a knowledgeable and skilled ornithologist who has contributed to a wide variety of conservation projects all over the UK, and has a considerable knowledge and passion for the Scottish uplands. He is currently shadowing other ECoWs and working towards gaining his Associate CIEEM membership.

Matt Ballingham

Matt Ballingham

Environmental Clerk of Works

Matt has many years of experience of working within the construction industry and has now worked on a variety of onshore and marine infrastructure projects across Scotland in his role as an Environmental Clerk of Works.

Gordon Campbell

Gordon Campbell

Ecologist and ECoW

Gordon is well versed in conservation issues in Scotland, and has worked as a falconer and on conservation projects across the world. He has hands on experience with raptors and presenting his work and a broad ecological knowledge of flora and funga.

Tim Viney

Tim has a broad ecological knowledge and is a great crested newt licence holder. He has a particular interest in ornithology and water voles.



Natasha Allen

Seasonal Ecologist

Natasha is an experienced field ecologist with a passion for ornithology. She has a broad range of fieldwork experience, including bat and habitat surveys, with a particular interest in wetland bird species.

Ian Perks

Ian Perks

Director

Ian worked at all levels in the conservation sector for 18 years and during that time became an associate partner with the Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation. He is now one of the UKs leading experts in translocations, having been involved in or lead on numerous projects including the white tailed eagle reintroduction to England and ospreys to the Basque region in Spain.

Operations Manager

Neil is a highly experienced ornithologist and manages all ornithology and species operations and enquiries, including survey resources, client relations, team allocation, scheduling and recruitment.

Julie has worked on an extensive list of conservation and commercial projects both as an ecologist with multiple taxonomic groups and Ecological Clerk of Works

Kate is a very experienced ornithologist and a keen nature lover having been a local wildlife guiding for the past few years. She has a passion for birds of prey and being in the wilderness.

Caitlin is a passionate and skilled ornithologist with experience in a wide range of conservation projects, including working at the Scottish Ornithologists' Club and participating in data collection for the BTO.

Alex is an experienced ornithologist and has worked on a range of projects in the UK and worldwide, including specialist work with Leach's Petrel, Curlew and Capercaillie in Scotland.

Phil has worked in conservation and ecology since 2008 and has an extensive knowledge of survey methodologies, multiple taxonomic groups, species protection and land management processes.





Garry Riddoch

ECoW Operations and Species Protection Manager

Garry manages all Environmental/Ecological Clerk of Works operations and protected species assessments. He is very experienced in all areas of commercial ecology fieldwork and fieldwork management and is ESAS accredited for offshore surveys.

Data Quality Manager and Ecologist

Janice is key to ensuring data meets our rigorous quality standards. She is also an experienced and versatile ornithologist with broad knowledge of species, habitats and survey methods

Anna undertakes the Redwing administration work. However, she is also an experienced and skilled ecologist with 22 years’ experience in bird and mammal surveys on the Western Isles where she was born and brought up.

Jude Dinham-price

Ecologist

Jude is a knowledgeable field ecologist having worked with a range of species and habitats across the UK. He has particular interests in upland birds, beetles and plants and is currently working towards his bat survey licence.

Georgia is a highly skilled and passionate ornithologist and bird ringer with a wide range of experience, including migration monitoring and working with breeding seabirds as Assistant Warden at Fair Isle Bird Observatory.

Sam McCready

Seasonal Ecologist

Sam is an experienced ornithologist, ecologist, and conservationist. He has gained extensive knowledge of breeding bird ecology in both uplands and lowlands across the world, alongside a keen interest in migration and conservation biology.

Redwing employ surveyors and experts on a permanent, seasonal and contract basis to fulfil our survey needs. We have  a network of surveyors who are highly experienced in both terrestrial and marine ecology.
